One command turns a Debian or Ubuntu machine into a home server with a dashboard. Pick apps from a catalog, and HomeBox pulls them, starts them, and tells you where to log in.

What you get
One command, then a dashboard
Docker, the reverse proxy, generated passwords and the dashboard are set up for you. After that it is point and click — install an app, open it, read its logs.
Updates with a way back
HomeBox checks for new releases in the background and puts a red dot on Updates. One button updates it — and if the new version does not come up healthy, it puts the previous one back by itself.
Encrypted, proportionate backups
Scheduled encrypted backups of every app's settings and databases. Updating one app backs up that app only, and skips artwork and logs the app can fetch again.
Reach it from anywhere
Tailscale, your own Headscale server, a WireGuard VPN or a Cloudflare Tunnel — each is one module, with a guide on which to pick.
